In the very bright and beautiful country of Portugal, there is a magnificent fairytale town absolutely unlike any other, Sintra.
As if created from a fairy tale about a fantasy world, after the noisy and hectic Lisbon, it gently envelops its guests with the atmosphere of the Middle Ages and slightly opens the secrets of the numerous mysterious castles hidden in its emerald hills.
This town is enchanting, you just want to walk endlessly along the cobbled streets, to explore its views from different perspectives. And obviously, you would like to stay here longer, at least for one day and night.
So that in the evening, when most tourists return back to the bustling capital, and the town center becomes less crowded and sparkling with colorful lights – you can get to know it again, but from the other side – more romantic and secluded.
Of course, in such a fabulous town there are enough good quality hotels where you can stay for some nights.
But this is another special feature of Sintra: many hotels here are located in buildings of the 18-19th century and offer guests an attractive atmosphere of fairytale medieval Portugal.
This is a town where you want to stay in a hotel just because of the hotel itself.
We explored this town together as a couple and made our list of hotels where we would like to come on our next visit to Sintra.
These hotels are suitable for couples and solo-travelers.
For convenience I subdivided all the options into more detailed paragraphs:
– hotels with swimming pool;
